that's an eye-opener

'I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.'

hello kawan-kawan.

today, as part of my reproductive and developmental physiology course requirements, we had to visit the neonatal ward in the royal women's hospital.
i must say it is probably one of my best moments in my whole 3 years at uni.
so basically the neonatal ward is an intensive care unit for premature and high risk babies usually those born around 28-35 weeks (normal 40 weeks) and babies that are born with a really bad condition such as gut is not internal etc.
it is such an eye opener seeing these poor little babies weighing as little as 700gms in a little incubator with blue light on it and all those high tech pumps and tubes going into it and what not.
for some reason it just makes me appreciate life even more.
yep. so it was an amazing experience and i must say this whole course is probably the best course i've ever done in uni.
who knows i might go down this career path one day? insyaallah.

anyway good news!
after 4 weeks of hard work and damn annoying anticipation of my next weigh in.
i weighed in today and i have lost a further 3.8kg! it feels amazing lahhhhhhh!
this just means, i have 6 weeks to go right.. and i have 2.3kg to go before i reach my goal weight!

i was really happy i treated myself to a super yummy but super expensive max brenner waffle with choc drizzle and bananas, strawberries and vanilla ice cream!!
it was a mouthful but oh my god it was gooooood.

okay so that's all.
i'm happy. never been this happy and will forever stay happy.
i have lost 18.8kg and that will NEVER EVER EVER COME AGAIN INTO MY WORLD.
whoooooo!
