heartbroken to the max

"you can, think you can get free, you think you won't need me, that you're gonna get you somethin better; but you know that we're in this forever"
shontelle feat. akon, stuck with each other

since the Dear John hype is still here (and I predict will still be here until about 3 months after the movie is released), let me blog about it.

so i received the books last fortnight.
being a nice sister i let Ilah read it first.
i think she has a stone heart la, she said it's sad but she didn't cry (maybe she did, who knows?).
she finally finished it yesterday. i wanted to start reading it asap but i had a group presentation to prepare. spoil la.

so i started reading today at 7am. in the train.
i finished it today at 10pm.
i read it in between my 10 hour shift.. during my ten min breaks, in my 45 min long train rides, in my hour break. hehe.

so all in all it took me around 4 hour.
i finished it, the whole book.
and yes, i cried. like cry cry.
it was heart pounding, wrenching, tearing, breaking.
really you must read it to experience it.

okay so here's what i thought.
the story is a little tad sweet and romantic and had those make you smile moments in the beginning.
but as it got to the end, it's more than sad, it's like it'll make you walk away having my heart crushed into pieces.
i don't know what to feel anymore.

apart from being a tear jerker, i learnt something from the book, which is nice cos i love books like this.

"my dad always said that when you're struggling with something , look at all the people around you and realize that every single person you see is struggling with something, and to them, it's just as hard as what you're going through"

so i guess this story will have a very big impact this year on me.
the movie is out 4th march here. (one week after singapore btw) raaar!
i think it'll be great and looking at the trailer itself, i reckon the movie would be quite a different from the book.
plus Channing Tatum is John! hah.

gee i can discuss this story all night. who's up for it? :)

btw i'm passing on this book to Nooz, and then she's passing it on to her sis and so on. sharing is caring no? lol.

anyway, if you liked A Walk to Remember you'll prolly like this one too.
read it guys it's not that long like Breaking Dawn or Harry Potter.

right! 2010. 3 books read, 2 didn't finish, one book done, many more to go.
newfound interest: reading. whoo.

Nicholas Sparks is a legend! (:

have a good week guys.

xoxo.

i love you.
