i shall talk about work today

you know, work is very unpredictable.
i've been serving starbucks australia since may 2006 and it's amazing how every work day is different.
like today, everyone was somehow in a bad mood.
i felt really tired working today mcm serve org pon like whatever ahhh.
the day before everyone was so hype.

it's tough and i wouldn't encourage anyone to apply to work here.
imagine waking up at 5am for a 6.30am shift.
imagine carrying 7 2litre milk bottles using two hands.
imagine serving people and putting up a smile when you seriously feel like shit.
imagine saying sorry when its not your fault.
gahh.

my store is the only store filled with all asian baristas and supervisors.
the only mat salleh's are my managers, two of them.
i worked with azzy and eastlyn today.
because azzy is from singapore, he's malay btw his real name is azman lol.
(and he's gay like hardcore pondan but he's awesomification)
and eastlyn is from subang, malaysia, we constantly chat up in malay or like what they say, singlish.
and instantly the environment changes.
sometimes it even feels like i'm still woking at sb-np.
haha.

but the point is, i don't know when i'll get sick of working for sb.
i'm working everyday now usually 30 hours a week.
and it'll stay like that till i start uni in march 09.
(shit balls i have like 7 weeks of holiday to go heheheh best best)
which then i do about 15-20 hours of work a week.

sometimes, i do get sick of work but its just a temporary feeling which doesn't really kill.
i see people come and go and making them smile and laugh and even makes their day really helps when working in a busy thing like this.
(yes we make 140 cups of coffee an hour during our rush)

then again, i really will find myself staying on for the next couple of years to come.
so anyone wanna give me a long service award? (:

yesterday i went shopping with noorul.
we went to harvey norman and eastgardens.
i grabbed a real bargain ah seriously.
i bought a mouse and thumbdrive.


its a wireless mouse, microsoft and guess how much is it?
down from $50 to $9. yess.


the thumbdrive from sony is 2GB.
and you know how much is it?
$10!
gahhh it gets lower everytime ah.
like 6 months ago the 1GB one was $10 now its like $6 i think.

who knows the 4GB one will be $10 in 6 months time?
hehs.


oh and i got singstar pop.
haha its second hand and its damn blardy cheap so why not.
now i have 4 singstars already yay.

tmr i will be working early.
i start at 6.30am and finish at 1pm.
i like it cos when i finish, the shops are still open and i can still have a life.
hahah. probably going to ikea tmr.
just for fun. who doesn't?

i wonder when i can go to ikea and tell everyone i'm buying furniture.
haha.

oh anddd..
haha. you know over here right they seriously sell shirts with huge writings on it ah.
and it's just funny how some people do wear them.
maybe ermm if it makes sense then fine.

but look what i saw over the last couple of days.

1) miss me a or gor is
this chinese girl was wearing it.
when i saw it right, i read the first two words ah.
miss me. then she was sitting in a way that she hides the last 4 words.
i was okay, miss me kinda make sense so whatever.
when she stood up, i read the whole sentence and i burst to hell of a laughter ahh.
wth sey what does THAT mean?
haha. she probably thought it was something cool or what but heyyy!
hahah. oh wellllsss.

2) remember Lot's wife: Avoid the backward glaces
i saw this today at work.
i was serving her and when i read i laughed like crazy.
hahahahha. who the hell is Lot and errmmm glaces?
shahshibai btol.

dang. so kuang ajar ahhh me.
but hahah a little bit of laughter goes a long way.

btw i will keep a lookout for more and i will let you know.
