confusion confusion.
hahaha.
mera naam aman hey.
i'm rahul.
warghhh.
the other day i watched kuch kuch hota hai.
i cried for the billionth time again.
stupid train station.
samer la mcm kuliah cinta.
ANYWAY.
yes confusion.
you know honestly i seriously don't know how this human brain work.
just one moment you know what you wanna do in life.
and the next moment you start to think twice of what you thought or are sure of what you wanna do.
now with only 9 days left for me to make up my mind on what course i want to take in uni next year, seriously dude i'm telling you.
i'm doomed.
it's just freaky how all of a sudden i'm about to, or more precisely i HAVE to make this important yet scary decision in my life.
yes i'm telling you, it's not easy.
it's not like me having a mark of 82.00 overall opens me to heaps of choices.
actually the choices are vast, not as vast as those who got 90.00 but still its heaped.
so maybe i thought you guys can help me out.
i'll make it simpler.
with a choice of 13 universities which i can enrol to.
i'll narrow it down to ONE.
yes, my first choice ever since my brother goes there.
University of New South Wales (UNSW)
let's just say i feel at home everytime i step into that campus.
and brother goes there.
psst psst he's gonna work as a research fellow and sometimes, lecturer when he graduate with his phd next year? amazing? more like awesome. lol.
and noorul goes there too.
sooo it'll be much simpler.
and you should check out the campus.
it's super cool.
i mean, SUPER COOL.
ok so what can i do in unsw?
basically all the science courses.
everything except medicine, duh.
and commerce/business.
and law.
not like i wanna do them anyway.
so let's narrow it again.
what can i do in unsw science faculty?
now i have 9 preferences.
my first one, use to be medicine.
but i dropped it.
i mean seriously the closest pathway i can get to get to my destination is to take a 3 year bachelor of medical science afterwhich i take a postgraduate degree in medicine for an additional 4 years. which means 7 years.
and if i don't get to medical science,
the next closest will be just a general bachelor of science.
which means my preference will look like this.
1) Bachelor of Medical Science
2) Bachelor of Science
3) ...
4) ...
and so on.
so what's the confusion all about?
on a normal bright sunny day.
THIS COURSE HITS ME.
http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/programs/2008/3994.html
and i'm telling you, it's not funny.
Bachelor of Science (Media and Communications)
this course, enables me to major in..
media and communications
and another science major.
which i'm pretty sure i'll grab hold of anatomy for the love of god.
heh.
so what do i do in media and communications?
multimedia production.
yes seriously.
from video to sound production, animations and web designing.
practical.
and it totally favours me alot.
so now.
i'm thinking.
should i put bachelor of science (media) as my first choice.
or bachelor of medical science.
let's narrow it down again.
a comparison of both degrees.
Bachelor of Medical Science
1) Its a 3 year course.
2) Major in all science area of study such as anatomy and physiology, pharmocology, microbiology, medical chemistry bla blaa.
3) No advantages whatsoever to get into postgraduate medicine.
4) 89.35
Bachelor of Science (Media)
1) It's a 3 year course.
2) Major in media and communications and another science area of study.
3) No advantages whatsoever to get into postgraduate medicine.
4) 83.00
yup.
that's right.
from the data above, it's easier for me to get into science media.
and if i put it as my first choice, i'm quite certain i'll get it.
if i put medical science as my first choice, i'm not sure if i'll get it but there is a possibility.
i like the sound of doing stuffs i like.
like a balance of both science and technology.
like i'm still doing something related to science.
which will help me through medicine.
and not only science.
i like the fact that when i graduate, i have two stuffs i know.
which means more options.
and i wouldnt know that maybe in 2 years time i might not wanna be a doctor anymore.
lol that's a crazy idea but let's just see what happens k?
and if i do atleast i have something to lean back on.
i even like the idea that getting into postgraduate medicine i don't need to come from medical science.
just any degrees.
even someome from fine arts got to medicine b4.
yes seriously.
and if i get into medical science,
i'll be surrounded by high achievers.
like really high ones.
because those who don't get into medicine directly usually turn back to this course.
and considering the fact of me 82.00 vs them 99.95.
i'll step back.
i don't like the sound of competition.
BUT if i get into science media.
i'm afraid i wouldnt like it.
or the course won't turn out as expected.
and i'll be stuck for three years.
while i know most of what i'm gonna do in medical science.
SO i'm freakingly confused.
i don't know man.
my mum is super supportive in whatever i choose to do so right now it lies on me.
9 days.
9 days.
9 days.
well if you guys could help.
that'll be great.
i know at the end of the day it's gonna be my choice but i just wanna hear opinions.
should science media be my first choice or medical science?
read the link above.
do whatever you like.
be contented.
lol.
whatever.
i'll be back.
soon.
oh and i worked today.
hell good ahhh.
they pay us whatever we get times 3.
cos it's a public holiday.
and i'm working on new year day and tmr, boxing day which is a public holiday as well
wooo hooo.
oh well.
life rocks la :)
have fun everyone. keep smiling.
and i love you. yes you.
not you.
YOU.
and i need you boo.
i gotta see you boo.
and there's hearts all over the world tonight.
said there's hearts all over the world tonight.
